2nd Ople Golf Cup Raises P 350,000 For Scholarship Program

Samahang Plaridel and the Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute held the 2nd Ka Blas F. Ople Memorial Golf Tournament last February 3, 2006 at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Course in Quezon City.
Aside from commemorating the 79th birthday of the late Foreign Affairs Secretary Blas F. Ople, it was also a successful fund-raising event for the Blas F. Ople Journalism and IT Scholarship Program for children of retired and working journalists. A total of P 350,000 was amassed, with an additional $1450 contribution from overseas. Read more
